I am 44-year-old Diana Taffe a mother of two and a grandmother, from the strikingly beautiful Island of Jamaica the land of wood and water. I reflect a varied personality included thoughtfulness, with a basket full of determination, and the qualities of an extrovert. I am also a team player who thrive on a positive challenge. I encourage fighting for what you desire and believe in, and doing it through God because nothing great comes easy and with God everything is possible.

I am a full time teacher, an assistance Sunday school teacher and a nurse aide, motivated by passion for teaching and the beautiful smiles that greets me, with the most hilarious comments that warms my heart on and off campus by children. Has I strived to become an outstanding and successful woman in today’s society, with the definitive goal of becoming a professional Language and Literacy Specialist and owning a school which cater for diversity of culture and special needs because all children are equal and must be including not excluded. I had completed a Bachelor’s degree program in Early Childhood Education, at The Mico University College in Jamaica and a Diploma in Early Childhood Development at the National Council on Technical and Vocational Education and Training (NCTVET) in Jamaica.

Through my passion for teaching, I have embraced fanatical interest in the environment, where I wear the title of the president for the environmental club within my division where I worked with children 6-15 years old. Through this group we had enter numerous competition such as trash for cash competition using house hold waste to make composite, where my team and I awarded third place in the Regional Ecopreneurship competition for 2017-2018.

Apart from the above, I have keen interest in technology using various apps and websites in enhancing Language and Literacy in collaboration with environmental print to reinforce the importance of being able to read and write, which means being able to keep up with current events, communicate effectively, and understand the issues that are shaping our world.
